Bali Scooter Rental in Peak Season: Christmas, New Year & Nyepi

In peak season Bali fills up: good bikes sell out, prices rise and traffic slows.
When is peak season?
Late June to August, mid-December to early January (the busiest), Indonesian Lebaran holidays and Australian school holidays. Prices can be roughly 10–30% higher — see normal rates in our price list.
How to secure a bike
Book 1–2 weeks ahead, get written confirmation of model, dates, total price and deposit, rent weekly, keep a backup option and watch out for fake rental accounts.
Nyepi — the Day of Silence
For 24 hours (usually in March) there is no traffic anywhere in Bali, the airport closes and everyone, tourists included, stays at their accommodation. Your bike stays parked. The evening before brings ogoh-ogoh parades and road closures. Ask whether Nyepi counts as a rental day.
Riding tips
Go early to hotspots like Tegallalang and Tanah Lot, avoid Kuta–Seminyak–Canggu on New Year’s Eve, beware of drunk riders that night and allow 1.5–2× normal travel times.
