Honda BeAT Rental Bali (2026): Price, Pros & Cons vs Scoopy

The Honda BeAT is the most common scooter on Bali’s roads — and usually the cheapest one you can rent. If you want simple, light, economical transport for getting around Canggu, Seminyak, Sanur or Ubud, it’s hard to beat (sorry). Here’s what it costs and when it’s the right choice.
Honda BeAT rental price in Bali
- Daily: about IDR 60–90k.
- Weekly: about IDR 350–500k.
- Monthly: about IDR 1–1.5 million.
Prices vary by area and season — South Bali in July–August and over Christmas is the most expensive. Compare with every other model in the price table below or in Bali scooter rental prices.
Who the BeAT is perfect for
- Solo riders doing short trips in town.
- Beginners — it’s light (around 90 kg), low and easy to push around in tight parking.
- Budget travellers and backpackers — see Bali scooter rental for backpackers.
- Long stays where cost per month matters most.

When to choose something bigger
The BeAT’s 110cc engine is fine on flat roads but works hard with two people on steep hills — Uluwatu, Kintamani, Bedugul. Its small wheels also feel less stable on potholes and gravel. For those trips, choose a Vario, NMAX or PCX.
BeAT vs Scoopy vs Vario
| BeAT | Scoopy | Vario 125/160 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Engine | 110cc | 110cc | 125/160cc |
| Daily price | IDR 60–90k | IDR 70–100k | IDR 80–120k |
| Under-seat storage | Small | Medium | Medium |
| Two people | OK on flat | OK on flat | Better |
| Looks | Sporty, plain | Retro, cute | Sporty |
The Scoopy costs a little more, mostly for its retro style and slightly bigger storage. Mechanically the two are similar. More comparisons in best scooter to rent in Bali.
What to check on a rental BeAT
Because BeATs are cheap and everywhere, some rental fleets are tired. Before you pay:
- Squeeze both brakes — they should bite firmly.
- Look for tyre tread and cracks.
- Check the lights, indicators and horn.
- Look for the STNK (registration) under the seat.
- Ask for two helmets that actually fit.

Fuel economy
The BeAT is one of the most economical scooters around — roughly 50 km or more per litre in normal riding. A full tank of a few litres costs well under IDR 50k and lasts days of town riding. See our fuel guide.
