Airport pick-up
From Ngurah Rai Airport it’s about 15–20 minutes to Kuta and 20–40 minutes to Seminyak. Many travellers have the car waiting at arrivals and drive straight to their hotel — see Bali airport car rental. If you land late after a long flight, consider hotel delivery the next morning instead.

Driving in Seminyak and Kuta
- Traffic peaks at sunset, when everyone heads to the beach clubs — Jalan Kayu Aya (Oberoi), Jalan Legian and Jalan Double Six can slow to a crawl.
- One-way streets are common in Kuta and Legian. Trust the signs over your instincts.
- Use the bypass (Jalan Ngurah Rai Bypass) and the Bali Mandara toll road for Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and Uluwatu.

Parking
Hotels in Seminyak and Kuta usually have parking, but some boutique villas don’t — ask before booking. Malls, beach clubs and restaurants have parking with attendants (around IDR 5–10k). Street parking in central Seminyak is limited in the evening.
Day trips from Seminyak
